bullet Reach age 65 and are entitled to monthly Social Security benefits.
bullet Are age 65 or over and have a spouse entitled to Social Security benefits, even if you are not.
bullet Are 65 or over and are the widow or widower of someone who was entitled to Social Security benefits.

What are my options?

Choosing health care coverage can be complicated and confusing. With Original Medicare (also know as Traditional Medicare), you have available to you:

bullet Part A – inpatient hospital care
bullet Part B – doctor visits and outpatient care

In addition, there are many plan options that offer different parts of the total coverage available to you, including.

bullet Medicare Advantage Plans - combine Medicare Parts A and B (hospital and medical coverage) into a single plan. These plans may also include additional benefits such as dental, vision and hearing coverage, as well as valuable discounts on a variety of health-related products and services. Some of these plans also integrate Medicare prescription drug coverage.
bullet Medigap policies (Medicare supplement) - these plans "supplement" your Original Medicare coverage. These plans cover some services Medicare Parts A and B don't cover; may provide additional benefits as well, and are available for members, their families, and their clients.
bullet Medicare Prescription Drug Plans - plans that let you add Medicare prescription drug coverage to your existing Original Medicare Part A and/or Part B coverage.
